Who We Are
We are Uche-Nnamani Vulnerable Children Foundation, a registered Non-Profit Organization (NGO) with the Corporate Affairs Commission, registration number 7950739. We are also approved by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in Nigeria as a legitimate Non-Governmental Organization. We have been verified to be in compliance with all regulatory requirements and have been issued a unique Special Control Unit Against Money Laundering (scuml) number 141401416.
We serve as a beacon of hope for abandoned and vulnerable children on the streets in Nigeria, especially girls.
We provide protection, healthcare, education, and social welfare services to these children.
Most of these children are abandoned orphans, while others are the children of beggars and mentally challenged mothers, born out of rape. These abandoned and vulnerable children on Nigerian streets have no one to care for or fend for them. They often sleep on the roadside with neither a bed nor a mat. They usually walk about very unkempt as they move about in search of daily bread. They are frequently hungry, thirsty, and scared. They drink gutter water, eat food from dumping grounds, and sometimes get leftover food from kind people. Some go missing every day; girls are raped, and they are preyed upon by human traffickers or ritualists for alleged financial gains. They suffer from both sexual and physical abuse from unkind people, especially when they beg them for either food or water. They are worse off than the poorest people, as they have no one to ensure their safety or well-being. They die from treatable diseases like pneumonia, malaria, malnutrition, and infections. They are deprived of human dignity.
We believe these children deserve care and protection. They deserve a chance to grow up healthy, happy, and safe. We are committed to helping these children. We provide them with food, shelter, and clothing. We give them access to quality care, education, and healthcare. We protect them from abuse and exploitation. We help them rebuild their lives and have a brighter future. With our help, they can become valuable members of society. They can grow up to be doctors, teachers, engineers, human rights activists, and leaders, making a positive impact on their communities and the world. We believe in them and believe they deserve a chance to succeed.
